The Message of Nuh (AS)
The Prophet Nuh (AS), known as the first messenger and the second father of humanity after Adam (AS), is mentioned many times throughout the Qur’an.
The Prophet Nuh (AS), known as the first messenger and the second father of humanity after Adam (AS), is mentioned many times throughout the Qur’an.
This khutbah continues the story of Adam (AS) and Hawwa (AS). Last time, we learned three lessons: Allah honours those He loves, prevention is better than cure, and Shaytan tricks us into thinking a good goal justifies a bad action. Now, the story continues as Shaytan whispers to them in Jannah, trying to mislead them.
This khutbah reminds us that the stories in the Qur’an are not just stories—they are there to teach us important lessons. Allah tells us that these stories are for people who think and reflect. One example is the story of Adam (AS) and Hawwa (AS) in Surah al-A‘raf. After Adam (AS) was created, Allah honoured him by placing him and his wife in Jannah, where they could live peacefully and enjoy its blessings.
Islam teaches a path of balance, consistency, and effort. It does not encourage extremes, nor does it tolerate laziness. One of the clearest lessons on this comes from an incident during the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The passing of a righteous scholar is not just news—it is a moment of deep reflection. Recently, the Muslim community received the sad news of the death of a scholar who dedicated his life to Islamic education.
